Looking for a sweet baby gift with a jungle or safari theme? 👶 Cheerful safari animals look lovely in the nursery and are super fun for boys and girls alike. From soft comforters and natural rubber teethers to music boxes, wooden toys and personalised baby books: we’ve lined up the sweetest jungle baby things (0–2 years).
New to the Netherlands? In Dutch this is a kraamcadeau: the gift you bring when you go on kraamvisite, the visit to meet a newborn baby and congratulate the parents in the first weeks after the birth. It’s customary to bring a little gift for the baby, and you’ll usually be offered beschuit met muisjes — rusks with sugared aniseed sprinkles.
Our favourite jungle baby gifts
Our selection — deliberately beautiful and sustainable, so the gift lasts a long time.

Which baby gift suits your budget?
A small baby gift (about €10–15)
A comforter, a Tikiri teether, a bath book or a wooden safari car — sweet, affordable and always a good choice.
A bigger gift (about €20–30)
A music box, an activity cuddly toy, a stacking tower or the Safari Friends music set: lovely gifts that last a long time.
For the nursery
A baby sleeping bag, a car play mat or the wooden train set complete the safari nursery. Nice to give together with the other visitors on kraamvisite.
Choosing sustainably for the very youngest
For babies, you like to choose consciously. The Tikiri teethers are made of 100% natural rubber, and the wooden toys by Little Dutch are made of FSC wood. Beautiful, sturdy and made to last for years — and to pass on to a future little brother or sister.
And when they’re a bit older?

What is a nice jungle or safari baby gift?+
Think of a soft comforter or activity cuddly toy by Little Dutch (Safari Friends), a natural rubber teether by Tikiri, a music box, a wooden safari car or a personalised baby book. For a bigger gift, a baby sleeping bag, a play mat or the music set are favourites.
What is a lovely baby gift for a boy or a girl?+
A jungle or safari theme is wonderfully neutral and suits both boys and girls. The Little Dutch Safari Friends range has cheerful, muted colours that look lovely in any nursery.
What is a nice baby gift under €15?+
Definitely possible! A comforter, a Tikiri teether, a bath book, a buggy book or a wooden safari car are sweet, affordable gifts that parents and baby will both be happy with.
Are Tikiri teethers safe for babies?+
Yes. The Tikiri “Mijn eerste safaridiertje” (“My first safari animal”) teethers are made of 100% natural rubber (from the rubber tree), without plastic — soft to bite on and a sustainable choice.
From what age are these toys suitable?+
Most items are suitable from birth or from a few months old (comforters, teethers, music boxes). Activity cubes, stacking towers and push-along walkers come into their own from about 1 year. Always check the age guidance on the product.
